C91JE EME Operating Schedule At the end of his July 17 operation C91JE has completed forty 144 MHz EME QSOs and his small 2-Yagi array seems to be working well. Europe has fared best in the race of QSOs with thirty-two stations making the log. This was followed up by five JAs and North America trailing with only three W stations in the log. Europe has a great deal of common moon time with African stations and in an effort to give more Ws the opportunity to have a QSO, we would like to ask the cooperation of European stations by not calling Hannes during the periods scheduled for calling North & South America. These periods will be near the C91JE moonset and after U.S. west coast stations have had their moonrise. The C91JE Operating schedule for the rest of the week will be as follows: Full Periods For Operating Period North & South America Only Wed - 19 July 0700 - 1000 utc 0800 - 1000 Thu - 20 July 0700 - 1050 0900 - 1050 Fri - 21 July 0800 - 1140 1000 - 1140 Sat - 22 July 0900 - 1230 1100 - 1230 Sun - 23 July 1000 - 1330 1200 - 1330 During the early part of each session all stations are welcome to call, but in the time allotted for NA & SA the European stations are asked to stand by unless no one in these areas are known to be active. The N0UK EME LINK should be used for coordination as much as possible to avoid several stations calling at the same time. This operation will be on 144.112 MHz JT65B with C91JE transmitting first period. There have been several requests for operation on other frequencies because of interference that we will try to accommodate but all frequency changes will be announced first on the N0UK EME LINK. If you contact C91JE (also 9J2JD & 7Q7JE) it would be appreciated if you would send a screenshot of the contact to zs6wb@telkomsa.net. Some of these will be used in a presentation to be given to local radio clubs by Hannes after his return.
