The folly of this amazes me. There are far more EU EME stations than US ones yet the ARRL manage to pick weekend when large numbers of them will be competing in the terrestrial events or will be unable to operate effectively due to QRM. It is very obvious to me that US policy makers and certain software developers have NO clue about central European station density. There is no obvious consultation, if there is any consultation it is with people who have NO idea about VHF and above DXing in Europe. I did email the ARRL about this and got nowhere. Of course if I were a cynic I could think that the ARRL wants to maximise the chances of a US station winning! Yes that was a joke, they are not that clever. This year I will not participate.
