A minor geomagnetic enhancement will be possible during the next 24 hours. A widespread disturbance is not currently expected. UPDATE: The Bz component of the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) continues to point sharply south (-20nT), a condition known to enhance geomagnetic activity. Moderate (G2) storming is now being observed at higher latitudes. Sky watchers should be alert for visible aurora once dark outside.
