Czech Microwave and EME Meeting Studnice 2002

This, already traditional spring meeting of VHF ham radio technicians and contesters has been held at ski cottage of TJ Studnice, just several hundred meters from contest place of OL2R. Meeting has organized by Czech OK- VKV klub and major part of work with preparation was made by Franta OK1CA, togehther with OK1DFC and OK1DCI.

Because weather outside was pretty bad, all interest of visitors (more than 100) was focused to the discussions, lectures and other technical and operational problems.

Let's look at several interesting points:

There were measured lot of equipments by different hams - this is for example 24 GHz transverter of OK2BFF

Operational questions were discussed in good atmosphere - for example this is 2/3 of family rodinného EME Bubik's clan (OK2BDQ a OK2MWR), on right side Tom OK2PWY

OK1FM, OK1DFC, OK2JI and OM5CM remember to old "good times"

At Saturday morning official meeting began with award presentation - we should remind, that OK-VHF Klub reward Multi - single and Multi - multi Categories in national evaluation of UHF Contest IARU. These categories are not held by CRK, although it is in UHF contest in Europe usual. Winners for 2001 contest are OK1AIY in single, and OK1KIR in Multi-multi. A this picture Pavel OK1AIY take over from Franta OK1CA cup of OK-VHF Klub and award.

Until we listen to the lectures, in the other rooms measurment was made - this is one of many 10 GHz rigs

We can see as well pretty new equipment of OK1UFL and OK1AIY for 145 GHz - fully operational !

After lunch OK2AQK tell us some news about bad luck satellite project of Phase 3D

Ruda OK2ZZ (OL2R) introduced new software for designing of VHF aerials and feedhorns
