Hi Bernd.

As a close friend of Finn, LA8YB, I am sorry to report the sad news that 

LA8YB, probably widely known on 2m EME, passed away saturday 20. august 2011.

Finn was an eager EME operator for many years and managed to work WAS (Worked all 50 US states) 
on 2m before he got Canser. 

His antennasysten was one of the biggest in the world and he was over 70 years old putting all 
up by himself.

Quite an achivement.

 

I hope that this info can be spread to his EME friends.
