IARU VHF Contest 2013 was 3.rd introduction of TM2W Call sign from Grand Ballon JN37NV, Vosges mountain, France. What we know, the first  atempt was until now the very best - mixed Swiss and Slovenian team won in 2001 the IARU UHF Contest due to large effort of all team, reliable and powerfull "hardware" and good tropo condx - the best DX on 70cm was almost 1000km to KN09CE and total nr of valid points (on 70cms): 176 889 (!)

Such extraordinary success we (our OK2KKW / OK2A team supported by Robert F1OET) tried to repeat 11 years later in 2012 UHF Contest. Unfortunately our team were much smaller compare 2001 year and we were negatively affected by weather, which was very, very windy - so we can not to install all antennas and even masts were erected only to limited height. As well as tropo conditions were not brilliant, so the result was significantly worse compare 2001 - and even activity on 70cm, mostly in Germany was much lower... But we still won in France on all used bands and even got "medal place" in all EU evaluation. On 70cm we had 126 552 points.

Third attempt to make a perfect Contest results were organized by French friends (together with well known F5AHO, who visit us in 2012 Contest) from Upper Rhine area (68.th REF dpt.) Contest team, who despite of all troubles made respected result on 144MHz during IARU VHF Contest 2013. They had the same trouble as we - strong wind - and the gale even damaged more aerials. Well, this QTH is not easy to conquer, and beside very good transmitters and PAs as well as the high mountain antennas style is needed. How much points the 2013 TM2W contest team claimed, is not known yet.
