Hello fellow EME'ers. The upcoming DXpedition to (HP1) Panama 5-July to 12-July is well underway, licensing is easy and should be completed shortly. The airline and condo are all set, I have access to the flat roof, in fact, the roof of the high rise condo is a heliport which I have been granted permission to setup on and use for the week. Current plans are to build the station on the first day, I'll likely miss that first cycle, but certainly will try if there is moon available. I will work 144 MHz until the degrade overwhelms me then switch to 432 MHz. and take 144 MHz stations on request from then on. The 144 MHz station is: 2 x 8 LFA Linear polarization 1.5 KW (or more!) WA2ODO preamp and ARR preamps at the power splitter The 144 MHz station is: 2 x 15 LFA Linear polarization 1.2 KW WA2ODO preamp and ARR preamps at the power splitter If time/conditions/energy permits, I may work other HF bands. http://home.comcast.net/~kg7hf/EME_Dxpeditions/kg7hf_eme.htm I'm just a hard core embedded 'C' programmer, so taking a crude copy of the Atletico teams web page was in order. Clear, clean, organized and easy to navigate. Mine is not near as refined as theirs! Sorry for having an EME dxpedition with such poor conditions, but my wife's conference set the exact dates. I will keep everyone posted. 73, Paul kg7hf
