This very popular antenna has been designed for 2 m band and has been invented with folded dipole for feeding 300 Ohms. Transformation loop in ratio 1:4 is used for feeding with coaxial cable 75 Ohms. Output impedance 50 Ohms is very common in the major part of professional devices and it is neccessary to use this impedance for antenna and cable outputs. That’s why this antenna has been adapted for feeding with coaxial cable 50 Ohms. Antenna elements are attached to a boom insulatedly and a dipole is closed with connector SO 239 and feeded with coaxial cable 50 Ohms. We use special clip for attachment this antenna to mast. After a polarization change is neccessary to swivel antenna elements through 90°. For conservation of screws, clips etc. we recommend "Rezistin ML".
