Od: 4U1ITU news Předmět: 4U1ITU update Datum: 24.3. 2012, 22:41 - včera v 22:41 Dear EME friends Our day started with a very good breakfast made by PE1L. He hade his famous Dutch pancakes. Then we made the 45 minutes drive to Geneva included with bordercrossing and car-check. We stay in France during the night because the price for hotel and dinner is very expensive in Geneva. After some struggling with the huge qrm due to the height of the qth at 4U1ITU we managed to work 61 stations via EME on 144MHz and 7 on 432MHz. The qth is surrounded by other buildings, a lot higher ones, and all fully loaded with electronic equipment like computers. This causes a lot of qrm which is hard to beat, even with a bandpassfilter in front of the pre-amp. We can't do anything with the inband-qrm. So making sqo's is not easy at all at the clubstation here. So please be patient when you are calling us. Tomorrow is our last day and we will be qrv from our moonrise at 07:00UTC until we lose moon around 15:00UTC. From moonrise till 180 degrees we had the best results so far because qrm is less than to the other directions. Priority at moonrise will be for VK, ZL and JA. Please let us know when you need 4U1ITU on 70cm, we will build up the station only on request. Log is updated at www.emelogger.com/4u1itu Hope to see you all tomorrow and best regards from Chris PA2CHR, Jurgen PE1LWT, Johan PA3FPQ and Rene PE1L.
