Big and long-durating earthquakes hitted Eastern JA-Pacific coast several times yesterday afternoon. The earthquake sources were off the pacific coast of JA7 and northern JA1. The severe disasterous situation was made to wide areas in eastern JA7, and northern Ibaraki where 8N1EME was located. Soon after, TSUNAMI occured not only in the same areas, but in very wide areas along JA sea coasts. Several sea ports, towns, and villages in JA7 were totally destroyed by the earthquakes and got disappeared by following huge TSUNAMI flows. Just in 24 hours after the first attack, over 1400 people are dead or missing, at least it is known. Disaster map covers wide aras of QM05-09 and QN01. http://www4.plala.or.jp/nomrax/GL/fullsize_A.htm Magnitude (a unit to scale the power of the earthquake) 8.8 could be 13 times stronger than that hitted Kobe and Osaka areas in 1995. It is the strongest earthquake ever happened in Japanese history. The nearest EME op might be Kony, JM1GSH in QM06. There was no email from him but Shiro JH0MHE got a phone call that Kony and his family are fine. Still small and medium size earthquakes come frequently. Yeaterday I was in Chiba, near Tokyo national airport, next to metropolis Tokyo, some 400km away from the earthquake source, I was shaken in the room, and had to hold back a rack next to the desk. My XYL might be in central Tokyo where our appartment is, but there is no communication until the late night. Fortunately all of our sons are OK, and they told me my XYL was fine. I stayed here at the medical school hospital yesterday night where I work for. There was no traffic available to central Tokyo from here, and vice versa. Many staffs stayed at their place or in conference rooms, etc. I will stay at my working place this weekend, and next week. Last night my XYL Sylvie and I tried to get contacted each other by email or cellular phone, but only to fail. Still now land line telephone is confused, and cellular email/ phone also. People use email/celluar phone, so the traffics are jammed badly. Most of the traffic aroud Tokyo area are operated by now, but the time schedule might be not punctual. Sylvie had to sort scattered things in order in the house. And I had to do the same in my room in the dormitory here. A desk slipped on the floor some 10 inches, a spectrum analyser on it dropped down to the floor, and everything on the top also dropped off and scattered. It is fortunate all of my family and our JA EME guys are fine, so please do not warry. Now the video of the TSUNAMI is broadcasted on TV. It looks the situation must be very, very bad. Even in 24 hours after the first attack, not all of the disaster is visualized. Still several million houses in JA7 specially Pacific side are not supplied with electricity. Along the sea coasts, hundreds of catabers have been found being landed. What a hell... Another news says, an atomic power generator in Fukushima, it is likely to got melt down. If it becomes reality, another hell might occur! So keep tuned.
