--- Původní zpráva --- Datum: 9/24/2005 Od: "w7eme" Předmět: [Moon-net] w7eme Aloha to all: I would like to say first of all, this was not a DX'pidition or any incident such as Rex's recent doing's, but just an offering for those whom needed kh6 for whatever reason. Also that everyone on 144 eme might try a single Yagi on a wooden step ladder or similar. It is way fun, and rear mounting the entire station gives great performance. I have received several emails about my ability to handle the big pile ups with such success. My answer to this would simply be common sense and the fastest computing you can afford. Similar to there is no substitute for raw power (not sure if this includes big antenna anymore). Anyway, Joe has given us a minute and a half or so to scrutinize the audio sample, I simply use it to decode every spike there is. A special note to Joe Taylor, if your software offered the ability to classify signal in both the frequency and time domains, I could do better...hi! Seriously, is a filter possible to place tolerances on the rx'ed spectrum? For instance, only decode x.x +/- say 0.x in the DT domain? This seems useful from where I sat the couple of evenings of past. Apparently I have misunderstood the necessity for correct data in the call3.txt, thank you for those whom explained it to me. I ran Joe's version 4.9.7 while operating as I did not like the spectral display of the new offering. My first impression, which included no adjustment or further study on the user instructions at my departure for bl02, led to just falling back on the proven utility and going with it. I'll study his new tool now that I am home. Station was 17b2 with a 350 watt qro, eBay bought wd5ago lna and a DEMi xvrtr and Transco Y's all mounted crudely at the rear of the antenna. IF was a little FT-897d and about 90 ft of lmr 400 for the 28 Mcs. IF. All switching was done above with the tx offered direct from the PC and + 0.2 delay on tx audio offered by Joe's software. I have also had several offerings to host photos and I will certainly take someone (one of you, or several) up on this. I am simply not compatible with the task of html, nor is any of the software I have make me want to use it. So in next few days I will contact several of you, send photos and you advertise. Tnx! I can hardly say I made all the skeds, as most of them came random in the pile-ups. It was challenging to find skeds amongst the pile-ups. The stations missed, with confirmed skeds where KJ9I (broken station), 9H1TX (Missed you, I have not qso'ed Malta since the day's of Henry 9h1cd) and G4TYL (which I believed missed sked, but may have been in the pile-ups). Stations answered but no RO: IK3MAC on CW (2 degrees before moonrise Holly Molly every time I hear you, you seem a magnitude over last!), I2RV, UR5LX and WW8M on cw. I do not understand why the only stations not hearing my OOO were the big guns? Perhaps someone can shed light on this? Stations worked, mostly 21st and 22nd on the EU/eastern window in a 1.5 hr +/- window each bl02 evening: Km5po W4sw Df2zc On4iq and brother on4gg (big signal) Hb9q (Width of 2, guess we drift together!!) Kd3uy Pa0jmv (strong too, station bigger now?) Dk3wg Pa3cmc (big signal) Dk8zj Ra3aq Rk3fg S52lm (nice signal nearing your moonset) Ru1aa Pa2chr K7mac (sounding good Mac) Es6rq K2txb Dk3ee S54t Sp6gwb F8bo Dl8gp 73 Jeremy QSL's will be offered to those whom send them. Please do not include any Dollar's, it is not necessary to assure your receipt of qso. Just be patient as I do not bother with these things but now and then, when I sit down and get them done. If it is an emergency for your award or other need, please email and I will do my best to fill your request. I will be CE3 in October with this silly setup and back bl02 in January. I have had inquiries about other bands and I must just say I have not enough time and ambition at this time. I have however purchased a decent 903 station from NU7Z and it is distend for BK29 (our other place, an Avacado plantation my brother and I planted as children on county Hawaii, big island). I will be hoping to use it for the moon from there in a year or so.
