** Eng.Txt: M W S 2001 / M W C 2001 ** Hallo dear VHF-friends, in the past years the VHF-DX-Gruppe DL-West, together with the german magazine "Funktelegramm" created the M(ost) W(anted) S(quare) list and WAE/DXCC list for the 144MHz area. Past years it was quite nice to see, that a lot of dx-expeditionaers have checked these list, before they startet their expedition and went to quite rare countries and locators than. (lets remember the activity from ZA,OH0,3V... as searched WAEs/DXCCs, or Squares like IN69, IO41,42 JM54,88,89 KO30,75 KP27,35,44 and many many more...). Also this year our VHF-DX-Group DL-West will run these collection of the (M)ost (W)anted (S)quares again. A new sepearte list for the most wanted WAEs/DXCCs countries will be collected by Chris, PA2CHR, to have a bit more efficiency in sorting out! Please check the following rules and send your infos as soon as possible. We will collect the datas from 16 december 2000 to mid february 2001. Latest at 17-02-2001 your details have to be here! >From end of march 2001, we will be able to spread the results on Funktelegramm, Funkamateur, CQDL, PR and Internet pages, that everybody have a good chance to find a recommend square or country to activate in summertime. The (M)ost (W)anted (S)quares inquiry 2001: Everybody can once send in as many most wanted squares as he want. Of course it will be necessary that the wanted squares have to be in a reachable area from the QTH of the sender. (eg. tropo stations send in max. 1000km area - ms stations up to 2200km ...) Also "wet" squares are possible to activate, as we have seen from several good expeditions in the past years! So if you need them it can be nice to give an initial about these onces also - of course they shall be within your tropo range... Here an example for the input file: DL8EBW search SQRs: IO79, 96, 98 ; IP04, 13, 14 ; KO 47, 57 a.s.o. Inbetween a lot of people did recognize an easy way to get their own most wanted list. EA6VQ, Gabriel, built up an automatic search routine in his logbook programm for our MWS lists! You are able to get the latest VHF-logbook version at the internet homepage: http://www.qsl.net/ea6vq/vqlog.html Please send your MWS result to: Infos pse to : VHF-DX-Gruppe DL-West c/o DL8EBW G.Juenkersfeld via mail : Gustav-Freytag-Str.1, D-42327 Wuppertal via AX25 BBS : DB0NDK.#NRW.DEU.EU via AX25 cluster: DB0MDX or DB0NOR-9 via E-Mail : dl8ebw@qsl.net or dl8ebw@t-online.de The results of both inquries (MWS and MWC) will be published in Funktelegramm, Funkamateur, CQDL, PR and all the VHF-reflectors in Internet from the end of march 2001. NEW: After the inquiry we are able to give (on request) all infos which station will need which square to anybody who plans an expedition!!! Thanks very much to all for the input in advance.
