From my province should be the first moon contact ever made. Finally, last weekend i finished a 12 elements yagi and beamed to the moon expecting to listen any station in the world contest. The antenna design choosed was DL6WU's optimized by VE7BQH. The moon position moon wasn't good for LU's, but although saturday night i couldn't decodified any station, i had a better luck on Sunday morning. With just one 12 el. yagi i listened KB8RQ several times calling CQ DX. His better signal was -28dB. on JT65B. My rig is a FTV-700 (transverter) and a FT757 GX II. As a newbie on this... it was really incredible to catch a signal direct from the moon... so, in the short future, i hope to climb 4 yagis 12 elem. each one with an "H" mast all made from plastic (completly insolated from the yagis boom and the supporting 6 meter's tower). 73's Adolfo LU5BOJ _______________________________________________ Moon-Net posting and subscription instructions are at http://www.nlsa.com/nets/moon-net-help.html
